I have trained in variuos martial arts starting at the age of 11 to present for a total of 16 years. I began my journey in Taekwondo under Master Sam Perez, an 8th degree black belt. During this time under Master Perez, I received a 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo at the age of 16 and shortly after I became a lead instructor. By age 18, I had earned a 2nd degree black belt. I also trained in Kobudo (Japanese Weaponry) and earned a 1st degree black belt under Grandmaster Keith Yates, a 3rd degree black belt in Kobudo, and a 10th degree in Taekwondo. While in college, I competed in tournaments where my highest honor earned was 2nd place in the 2012 U.S. Open Martial Arts Championships in the sparring category. Later I joined Kickin' It Martial Arts where I earned an orange belt in Shotokan Karate under Mr. William Gust, a 3rd degree black belt. I have also earned a single stripe white belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu under Coach Eric Hamilton, a 4 stripe Blue belt. I am always ready to learn something new and my knowledge onto the next generation  of martial artists.
